Do these announcers realize that the Flyers are on the floor, as well as the Penguins??? :D I have no dog in this hunt (Go 'Canes!) but could the announcers GUSH anymore over Crosby and crew??? Okay, some great players there but COME ON ... there's two teams on the floor!!!!!

It's NBC's attempt to 'market' the NHL- and Crosby is the mealticket. It's tough to constantly hear about Crosby, but I know what they're doing.

Pierre Maguire is the biggest Crosby honk (between the benches) and I'm sure that NBC Brass is going to continue to push Crosby as the face of the NHL. I get it, but yeah, it's tough to hear constantly.

Edzo (Ed Olyczk) and Doc Emerick are solid dudes to me. I enjoy their commentary most games......

Actually, I DO understand it, guys ... the much-needed marketing of the NHL and that the Penguins have some great players ... but, geesh, it just gets to be a bit much ... (Well, anyhoooooooooo, I don't REALLY care about anything today except our guys beating the Thrashers tonight, and I'm gonna be there!!! :) )

Couldn't believe that was JStaal!

This game is getting nasty! In a good hockey way of course. NBC got a great game today.

JStaal just had a great goal on a feed from Malkin. He's up to 13 on the year.

Maybe Jordan's goal will spur some brotherly competition with Erik tonight!!! Maybe Big Brother would like to outdo him with a hat trick against Atlanta tonight! :D (I can dream, can't I?)

Hub will be sporting his Pens JStaal jersey tonight (continuing the theme of reverse jersey mojo and to match my Eric jersey lol) and wow, Jordan is really emerging. He sure did show some grit with jumping in on Fedoruk. Crazy grit, but good stuff. It's amazing how much bigger he is at 18 than Eric was when he made our team out of camp. Jordan, even now, is physically bigger than big brother, who's 22.

Jordan and Malkin have some serious chemistry and good for Jordan, he's going to the Young Stars game!

Bonnie- it wouldn't be so far fetched for Eric to get it going tonight- he's probably pumped that he got named to the All-Star team and fired up for his buddy Ilya and the Thrashers.......

So, I got home from work just in time to hear Rex drop the F-bomb. Anyone else get the same massive kick out of that I did?

Jordan's goal was freakin' awesome.

Okay so how much weight has Brett Hull gained in the last year? I have no idea why the made them stand up during parts of the intermissions, they all looked akward and the whole "face to face" point/counterpoint thing he and Ferraro did was dumb. They looked entirely too serious.

But if Hull is going to say that Luongo is the best goalie in the league? C'mon.

E- I noticed Hull too- chubby eh? and the point/counterpoint thing looked like a rip off from TSN- as did that standing on the set thingy. Tie Domi does his little spot with Duffie in that face to face kinda stance- and I believe Dave Hodge and Glenn Healey did the same thing too. I think it looks 'forced'. Hull looked comfortable out there so it should be interesting in the coming weeks.
