The Sushi Guy? How um, politically incorrect. :eek2:

Anyway, Cory! Fabulous idea......

Buffalo: I'll go with Drury, I just have a real hard time liking anyone on that team, but Drury gets the nod from his days as the clutch dude for the Avs
Islanders: Jason Blake
New Jersey: Zach Parise ROCKS. He was selected 15 spots after our #12, and if he were 'bigger' he would've easily been a top 10 pick that year.
Tampa Bay: Lecavalier (don't kill me, but ya'll know he's good)
Atlanta: NOBODY
Rangers: I like several Rangers, but the Cullen/Prucha duo is awesome.
Ottawa: I'm a Spezza fan, but Mike Fisher is my man.
Pittsburgh: The Blonde Staal & Erik Christiansen (the Recchin' ball is a given)
Detroit: Henrik Zetterberg
Calgary: Matthew Lombardi & Jarome Iginla
Anaheim: Ryan Getzlaf & Dustin Penner
Minnesota: Marian Gaborik & Brian Rolston (and I love that song they play when the Wild scores in their building- "W-Oh-oh-oh..... ")
Vancouver: The Twins- Henrik & Daniel Sedin you can't have one without the other. Also a big Kevin Bieksa fan.
Dallas:Sergei Zubov
Nashville: Ryan Suter is a fave, and of course I love Forsberg, and even after the hit, I'd been following Radulov's career in juniors and his move up to the big club. He's good.
San Jose: Uh, this is the hardest team-- I have many faves, but it's pretty well known that I'm a Joe Thornton honk, so I'll say him for sure. I'm a big fan of Matt Carle and that kid, "Little Joe" Pavelski; and I could watch Patrick Marleau skate all day.

Please tell me it was the shortest cup they have?!

 It was. I'm sure that was only for the reason that she had to bring it to us when we saw them later. It was funny - she had it in this big ass tupperware container so that it wouldn't get crushed in the car. And then we transported it home in the same big tupperware thing for the same reason. It looked ridiculous to have a paper Starbucks cup inside a big clear container. But it worked!

Since I was out of town, I took a photo of it and sent it to SoCal from my cell phone. I knew she'd figure out what the hell I was sending her - with the MSL (basically his sig) and #26.

The Sushi Guy? How um, politically incorrect. :eek2:
Not to mention referring to the wrong bloody team, if he's referring to Yutaka Fukufuji--who is the property of the Los Angeles Kings, and currently manning the net for their AHL affiliate (the Manchester Monarchs) in the playoffs.

Anyway:

Buffalo: No one. They can win their Cups elsewhere.
Islanders: Anyone who scores on the SlugThugs.
New Jersey: No one.
Tampa: The whole team.
Atlanta: Umm....yeah....no. Sorry, not even for the sake of the Division.
Rangers: The guy enshrined on my licence plate (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v221/stormshaman/hokej/fullj-1.jpg).
Sens: Spezza
Pens: Recchi and Staal the Younger
Wings: [censored]
Flames: Dion Phaneuf (duh-nuh-duh-nana!), Iginla, McCarty, err...that's all.
Ducks: Everyone not named Chris Pronger.
Minnesota: Hell no. Well OK, Derek Boogaard.
Vancouver: Roberto Luongo, just cos he's not in our division anymore.
Dallas: Not even if you paid me.
Nashville: Yes.
San Jose: Cheechoo

Which, oddly, is called a "tall."

Like calling a guy with only a right hand "Lefty."

You mean Nittymaki.

OK, this is awesome! I can't read everyone else's list until I make mine, though....I don't want to be influenced. Want to go with first thought. I have a hard time picking just one on some of them, though.

Buffalo: Chris Drury
NYI: Ryan Smyth, Mike Sillinger, Rick DiPietro
Devils: Jaime Langenbrunner
Tampa: Brad Richards
Atlanta: Marc Savard.....oh wait.... ;)
maybe Steve Rucchin is still OK
Rangers: Matt Cullen
Ottawa: Mike Fisher, Oleg Saprykin
Pittsburgh: Gary Roberts, Colby Armstrong, Jordan Staal
Detroit: Danny Markov and Robert Lang
Calgary: Daymond Langkow or Kristian Huselius
Anaheim: Scott Niedermayer
Minnesota: Pavol Demitra and Brian Rolston
Vancouver: Marcus Naslund, Brendan Morrison, Willie Mitchell
Dallas: Marty Turco or Brenden Morrow
Nashville: Stevie Sullivan
San Jose: Patrick Marleau

Rangers: Cullen
Ottawa: Comrie

Anaheim: Temu
Minnesota: Rolston
Vancouver: Luongo or Mitchell
Dallas: Modano-North Star

I haven’t really followed hockey long enough to have true favorites on all the teams yet, but here goes.

Pittsburgh, for the most part I like everyone on the team not named Brooks Orpik.

Like a lot of the Rangers as well, Cullen’s my favorite, of course, but again pretty much anyone not named Jaromir.

I like Marty Turco, and Joe Thornton. I can tolerate Brad Richards. And I enjoyed watching the Niedermayers in last year’s playoffs.

And my favorite Senator – gotta give Gerbs some love on that one.

Yes, it's another exciting Friday night at Zamboni's house. Here are my favs:

Buffalo: Jason Pominville
Islanders: Sean Hill (still) :(
New Jersey: Brian Rafalski
Tampa Bay: Martin St. Louis
Atlanta: Scott Mellanby (okay I admit I'm kind of partial to the vets)
Rangers: Jarda Jagr (even though he's a blockhead, I like to watch him play)
Ottawa: Marty Gerber
Pittsburgh: Mark Recchi
Detroit: since the Professor retired, I'll go with Chris Chelios.
Calgary: Tony Amonte
Anaheim: Chris Pronger, whom I know if an unpopular choice, but he's really impressive on the ice and he handled the latest ridiculous seige by the media and internet pretty well.
Minnesota: Brian Rolston
Vancouver: Roberto Luongo
Dallas: Marty Turco, mainly because of the "tackling of the beer thief" urban legend
Nashville: Jason Arnott
San Jose: Joe Thornton

Buffalo: Thomas Vanek
Islanders: Miro Satan (I've always had a soft spot for him. Every now and then he just comes through. Look at that last minute play tonight. He looked like he REALLY wanted to win.)
New Jersey: Scott Gomez (He's a bit of a thug sometimes, but he skates hard and always looks like he's having fun. I respect a guy who obviously loves what he does.)
Tampa Bay: Vinny Lecavalier (He gets some wacky goals and is so much fun to watch.)
Atlanta: Marian Hossa (I've loved watching him since he was a Sen. ...a finesse player who isn't afraid to play a physical game...except in round 1. Grrr...)
Rangers: Jaromir Jagr (Yeah, he's a bit of a primadonna, but when he's enjoying himself, he's really something to watch.)
Ottawa: Daniel Alfredsson
Pittsburgh: Mark Recchi
Detroit: Henrik Zetterberg
Calgary: Dion Phaneuf
Anaheim: Ryan Getzlaf
Minnesota: It's a toss up between Pavol Demitra and Marian Gaborik
Vancouver: Matthias Ohland
Dallas: Stu Barnes
Nashville: Alexander Radulov (Though he lost some points from me for that hit from behind on Steve Bernier.)
San Jose: Jonathan Cheechoo
