I have to admit, I've tuned into that Outdoor Life Network each morning (if I've been home) and checked out some of the Tour de France. I've seen some nasty spills.

Anyway, I missed the team time trial yesterday, the one that Lance Armstrong's team (US Postal Service) won. Here are some really cool photos with their aurodynamic helmets and bikes.

Overall leader Victor Hugo Pena, of Colombia, of the US Postal Service team, is weighed prior to the 5th stage of the Tour de France cycling race between Troyes, eastern France, and Nevers, central France, Thursday, July 10, 2003. Pena, who turned 29 on Thursday, received his weight in Champagne bottles as a present while going to register for the stage. Five-time Tour de France winner Bernard Hinault of France is seen at left.

LMAO (pun intended) Shell. I actually saw that crash. They showed him sitting on the curb before he was able to get back up and you could see a little crack too.

Thanks for posting that one.

I was in France in 1990 and took in one of the stages. This was back during the haydays of Greg Lemond and I can tell you that this race is quite the event. At the end of each stage, there is a HUGE party in the town where the finish line is. I would love to see Lance win his 5th in a row to tie the record of Miguel Indurain, but I think he has already secured his place among the all-time Tour De France greats.
