Anyone have a photo of Staalsy getting his hat trick on John Deer Hat Giveaway Day? I am working on another **project** ane would love it to be as detailed as possible.

Thanks folks! I think the date will help out the most. I can pull up some other pix with the date and team they were playing. Maybe I should have rephrased the question. But I will be doing a custom of Eric with the hats on the ice and I wanted to make sure it was before we cupped it and not after so I know what type of hats to add. Prolly go with 3 JD hats - 1 NC State hat - 2 Canes hats.

Thanks for the help on the research guys and I will be sure to post the finished product in the next few weeks.

I've got one from the Canes website that shows Cole, Kaberle, and Staal on the hat-littered ice. Probably still available on the site, or I can post if needed.

but was that the night he really didn't get a hattrick?? they had accidently put his name up on the jumbotron for a goal that wasn't his?? I remember something like that........but it may have not been that night.

No, he had the trick that night, I watched all 3 goals with my own eyes.

No, what you're thinking of was his first hat trick ever, puckin. Against Philly I think? They didn't credit him with a goal in the arena that was his so, no one knew he had the hat trick and no hats were thrown. :(

We got him back on hat night, though. Or he got us back, lol.

I could've sworn that there was a game later this past season where they put his name on the JumboTron and everyone thought he had the hat trick, the ice was covered in hats, but in the end someone else actually scored the goal.

I'm sure someone else must remember this...anyone??? :beatup:

yeah, there was that... i think that was this past season though.

then there was the hat-trick that wasnt shortly after his first one that he didnt get credit for... Cole got called for diving nullifying staal's third goal... he still got the shower of hats though.
