View Full Version : Anyone know where all the SCF pics went on CH.com?

The old CarolinaHurricanes.com website had a lot of images (wallpapers, pics, etc.) from the SCF last season... including some additional items with the SC champions logo on it after game 7. But when I go to their "vault" now, I don't find that stuff.
My son had a pic (from behind) of Rod holding up the Cup in front of the team as his wallpaper. But he changed it and decided to change it back... and now it's gone.
Can anyone help me locate it?

Thanks puck it, but I'm familiar with that post (loved every word of it) and believe I searched that site thoroughly before posting on lgc.com.
My problem remains the same. SCF game 7 stuff is missing from that vault. I'm posting here to see if anyone knows where it is.

Damned if I could find SCF pictures anywhere on CH.com, so I emailed the webmaster, here's his response:
LTD,
We've been working on bringing all the photos over to our new site since we relaunched. You've probably noticed that all our photo galleries look different now, which is because we've had to rebuild each gallery since we got the new site. It's a long process, but given the current happenings in the hockey world, I imagine we'd have our own celebration pictures up before this year's one takes place.
In the meantime, you can check out all our Stanley Cup video on this page:

Thanks,
Canes Webmaster
^^puck_it's link takes you via the previous thread to the N&O pictures.
ETA: SW, I PM'd you the other day, I have the following wallpaper-sized picture from CH.com on my hard drive. This may be the same one you're looking for, but it's too big in its original format to attach here. PM me with your email address and I'll send you the big file.

Glad to help. I knew that eventually having about 10 gb of Canes pictures on my work laptop would come in handy.

I'm glad I archived my boatload of stuff a few weeks back because my harddrive crashed last week.

FYI, the SCF Game 7 game photos and Stanley Cup pictures are now back up on ch.com. Just go to the Multimedia/Photo Gallery link and there is a Game 7 Gallery and a Stanley Cup Gallery.

I haven't found any parade pics but the N&O still has links on their website.

Wow - looking at those game 7 (game) photos is just fantastic. I could make a comment on every one. The expressions on the players from both teams, the crowd, the coaches - amazing.
I have to laugh at the one of the Williams after he's released the puck for the ENer. The crowd reaction is just hysterical. There is a woman that sits on the glass (she's got a scarf on) in the corner and I met them on 2 different road trips that season (never saw them at the RBC, lol). She is obviously in the middle of a jump because she's taller than the man next to her by a substantial amount.
Wow - just fantastic stuff.

Oh, just unbelieveably fantastic! LTD thank YOU. Honestly, I have a bazallion pictures from so many people, hub, friends, and more friends, they're all a blur; and I know somehow I did see these pics, but like I say, too many pictures just passed on by.
The JWill EN pic E mentioned is hilarious- I love the bench shot - which I'm guessing is when Willy scored- they're all hugging, and good ol Nicky Wallin is looking up at the clock.... fantastic.
And if you look at every single action pic, the intensity in the eyes (Commodore, Rod, and Chad with those huge eyes) tells you what the deal is right there.
Argghh! You guys are sucking me right back into memory lane!

This is as good a place as any.
I was looking for something completely different, but came across these photos at the EDM Journal. I hadn't seen them before (though the sign made it into the Canes photo gallery that LTD posted above).

Ivor Potter and kids (front left to right) Reece, Bailey, Sydney, and wife Jill are cheering for Auntie Brijet's husband Ray Whitney and the Hurricanes. For support they brought along Matt Commodore (back row, Hurricanes Mike Commodore's younger brother), Marilyn Henderson and Brijet Whitney (Ray Whitney's wife).

Jake Snell and Ben Snell both from Vancouver show their team spirit as Const. Cory Kerr (2nd left) and fellow Const. Jack Redlick stop them (in fun) outside Rexall Place for Game 4 of the Stanley Cup finals between the Edmonton Oilers and the Carolina Hurricanes
And this one is a gem.
