OMG - how great! A year ago, wow.

Random comments: in the first few seconds you realize how much has changed in that year - new Sabres logo, new logo/name for VS, and we don't have the cute blonde Storm Squader,.

I'm not sure I watched this game back on video - or not very many times. I'd almost forgotten how f'ing awesome it was seeing Justin's goal with Miller sitting on his ass like a kid that fell down in the sandbox and Roddy jumping up and down like a little girl. Just great!

You named my favorite part. I've never seen the Captain jump like that before. I also loved the Justin glide. Post-game comments are good too. Something for everyone to enjoy!

I could actually somewhat like Ryan Miller if he didn't make weird twitches after giving up a big goal.

But how I love those twitches :P

My god, I do love a handshake line. Especially when your team isn't the one who's going home, lol.

I think I'm just gonna have to watch that game tonight!

I loved the Brindy jumps :)

And yes the Willie glide is awesome too. Love it.

Funny cause I was so freakin nervous that game, that I didn't even realize the Willie goal came with less than a minute left.

Great memories. Can't wait for more this coming up season.

"I wish their coach didn't talk so much..."

Brindy is awesome.

That's so funny. For some reason I watched the last 10 minutes or so of that game just about a month ago. (I still have lots of games from the playoffs on the DVR, 'cause I still haven't unpacked the DVD burner and figured how to use it that I bought last July!!)

I kept going backward and watching Brindy jump up and down-- makes me smile every time.

And-- yeah-- NCC-- seeing Miller sitting on his ass with a perfect view of watching the puck go into the net was AWESOME! I remember saying to hubs, "Look at Miller! He was sitting there on his ass!!!"

My big memory I have of that day is how NERVOUS I was all during that day. I felt absolutely nauseous during the game. And I remember saying to hubs at the 2nd Intermission, "If they lose, it's going to be just too painful-- I almost wish we'd just have lost in the 1st Round, rather than make it this far and lose."

And on the DVR, I have the press conference, and when watching it recently, I had forgotten how Doug Weight said in the press conference, "This is the best team I've ever played on." I just love that. :D

I didn't get to see the last 10 minutes because the Brier Creek Ale House LOST POWER. We finally threw our credit cards at the waitress, ran to the car and listened to almost the rest of the game at the car, as I wore a groove out in the dirt, pacing back and forth. Eventually, they got the power back and we ran back inside, but caught only the last few seconds and then we were too busy making phone calls to watch the handshake and such.

I had this day marked on the calendar; and when LTD posted this, I had no clue that I'd get so worked up about it and ncc is right, so much has changed in just a year; but the feelings I had that day came flooding back. It's still as awesome today a year later as it was in that shaking building that night a year ago.

That goal by JWill always makes me smile cause when you watch them play that in the championship DVD, he lets out that woooooo-hooooooo while doing that glide on one knee.

The handshake line rules- You still have to give it up to Mike Grier- that hug with Weight was totally heartfelt and verrry classy. They missed him bigtime when he left.

CL- I totally remember Doug Weight in that press conference and him saying that this was the best team he ever played on is seared in my brain.

I put that clip on the 'press conference dvd' that I created of all the memorable quotes and things that were said in all the press conferences. I took it out of sequence, cause it's the first clip, but it kinda tells the story....

So when June 19th comes in a couple weeks, will we all go down memory lane again? I personally think it should be a holiday; just so we can all roll out the memories and talk about them some more. ;)

It'd be nice if we could get a bar to play Game 7 (or the DVD) on June 19. Yet kinda sad ... :)

I remember at the game that night that Greir was nealing at center ice long before the rest of this team, he is a super class act. I remember pointing it out ot my mom that he was out there by so quick and how classy it was.

I just watched Game 1 of the SCF-CBC feed. They did an interview with Weight (obviously pre-taped) but he was so complimentary of the team, etc. I know him & Recchi did not re-sign with us but it makes me feel all warm & fuzzy that they still to this day--show the love for the team. Its not something I really expected even though they won the cup with us. Not surprised because of who they are specifically...just the whole concept. These guys will always have a special place in my hockey heart.
