Lately I have been thinking alot about the men and women serving our country and have been trying to decide what I could do to let these brave people know that they are being supported. No matter what your position on the war is or what your political beliefs are, it is important that you show support for those fighting for our's and other's freedom. I came to the conclusion that I could do the adopt a soldier program. In doing this, you write at least 1 letter a week to your assigned soldier to help boost thier morale and let them know that people are thinking about them and praying for them. I understand that all may not be able to do this, but I would appreciate if yall would take a moment and think about joining me in supporting our troops.

adopt a soldier is a great org.
I'll throw another one out there http://www.opfth.com/ ... something I've been a bit of a part of for a little bit. I've watched, just over the last week... several hundred pounds of care items, thousands of premium cigars, and countless letters/cards go out. (It's a cigar forum, with some vets running the donations). We've raised about 2k in the last week just on a cigar forum... which is paying for weekly (or more) shipments for a year or more. The guy running it is high class, and is busting his hump to keep supplies going out.
Anyway, no matter what route you go, please do something. We are always hearing about something as small as personalized cards meaning the most. These guys miss this place, and a little letter goes a LONG way.

PM me if you want a personal opinion on one of these adopt a soldier organizations. Don't want to make any public statements about one.

I am very supportive, to the point of giving up starbucks for years when finding out they wouldn't donate to one of the organizations. But you just have to watch out.

I wasn't talking about your org. ;) Was talking about one not listed here yet but once again don't want to say anything publicly for legal reasons.

lets settle down... art isnt being non-supportive, i've heard the stories and he's got every right to be angry over it. he's just trying to help people be more supportive, by giving to orgnaizations that are more helpful and supportive to the troops
