For all of you who would want an autographed jersey from this year's team this is one on Ebay. The money from the jersey goes to charity. I believe the charity is new hope for kids. The jersey does come with a COA.

Side note: I do not wish that any of you bid on it so that I may win it. Especially, all you season ticket holders out there that have access to player signings. I just thought it was for charity so whoever buys it the money will go to a good cause.

And then you tell us not to bid on it?

Ummmm....k.

Yeah, I'm confused.

If you posted specifically to call dibs on bidding, that'd be one thing, but you said yourself: "For all of you who would want an autographed jersey from this year's team this is one on Ebay."

*shrug*

It was more of a joke about not bidding on it.

I really need to work on my material obviously or have some way better showing sarcasm on the site.

Personally, I didn't have any problem interpreting your meaning.

You saw the auction, thought you'd share, and then made a joke that you're hoping to win it so, it's not like you want everyone here to jump on and outbid you, but, it's for charity so you could live with it if it happens.

Clear enough to me.

as a side note to the product:

Anyone know where we could get the number and name sewn on the jersey for reasonable?

^^what ev, it's no big deal... nobody's clear 100% of the time... i

^no place i can think of where you wont lose the jersey for 6 weeks. I'd shy away from that with the auto'd jersey... to tempting for it to "get lost".

oh well didnt win it anyways. I think I might get me a jersey with someone's name on it. I just dont know who.

There is another one on ebay. It is 50 more than the one for charity sold for. Plus, the seller said something about a 06-07 championship team. He lost his crediability to me. Although, the seller does have a picture of the COA. The worst part is the seller is from Fayetteville.

I had mine done at Icejerseys.com in Canada. They did a beautiful job. When I first got my jersey, I didn't really have a favorite player so I got a plain one. Then I did the Commie-hair-cutting-for-charity-thingy and he autographed my plain jersey there. So of course I had to have his name and number put on the jersey. I sent it off to Ice Jerseys and they couldn't have been better to work with.

HOWEVER I had trouble with FedEx Ground when they shipped it back. I received notice it was on its way and they gave me a delivery date. That day I checked online and saw the notation that it had been delivered. The problem was I DIDN'T HAVE IT! They had delivered to the wrong address. I got on the phone with them and they had the delivery man go back and pick it up. So it went back to the airport. The next day they put it on the truck again but it never showed up. More phone calls to Fed Ex. The next day, it rode all over Wake County on the truck again. The third day after it was supposed to have been delivered, it FINALLY arrived at my house.

In the meantime, I spent hours on the phone with them absolutely SCREAMING at the no-customer-service-reps who didn't seem to be nearly as concerned as I that my autographed Canes jersey had been delivered to the wrong house. I ended up with my own special CSR in Ohio of all places who was able to get my jersey delivered to ime. Other than an apology from her, I never got any thing for my trouble.

So that was my horror story. I wouldn't use FedExGround again for anything. But IceJerseys.com was great. Later I ordered a Scott Walker jersey for my son and a Justin Williams jersey for my d-i-l for Christmas from them and asked them NOT to send them via FedExGround. I told them the date I needed the jerseys (in time to take it to the RBC Center for the STH thingy in December) and they sent the package Air Fed Ex and it actually arrived the day before the STH event. We got the guys to autograph the jerseys and my son and his wife were thrilled.

Sorry. Didn't mean to write a tome.

FedEx and FedEx Ground are two completely different companies. FedEx Ground used to be RPS, and they're garbage. Regular FedEx is fairly reliable in my experience.

Actually from what I understand, they USED to be two completely different companies. You are right, it used to be RPS but RPS's parent company either merged with FedEx or Fed Ex bought part of it, I don't remember which. Anyway, RPS became a subsidiary of FedEx and was renamed FedEx Ground. We use regular FedEx every day at the office and find them to be very reliable.
