Beckett collectibles roadshow will be at the Durham bulls game 7/28/2007. They do hockey collectbiles as well as baseball so if you want something evaluated and appraised for free, bring it. Say you have a card, jersey etc. Their appraisers will look it over and give it a grade on the spot. So that Ronnie Francis rookie card you have may be worth 200 or a measly 2 cents depending on the grade, but you can at least find out for free at this game without having to send it in for grading. They'll also give you tips on preserving your collectibles. I can't go since I'm working, but some of you collectors (Such as those of you with a single Brind'amour skate ;) ) may want to see what market value you got.

Hmmmmmmmm, I have some hockey cards in mint condition. I need to look through them and see exactly who I have and see if I have some $$$ in there.

Dang! And I have a birthday party that night and can't go either. Would be interesting to see what the value of those skates are though, although of course for me the value is priceless anyway.
To show how much of a collector I am....when I saw the title of this thread I almost didn't read it 'cause I thought you were talking about people who collect MONEY from other people.
