A little harsh, but pretty truthful. This comes from HockeyOutsider.com, a notorious sight for sarcasm. At least our fans are LOUD.

Darn tootin' it's truthful...it may be a parody, but that article states one of the many reasons I really didn't want the Devils to win the Cup. Their so-called "fans" have nothing on the Ducks fans that were quite reminiscent of the Caniac nation during such a joyous time last year/the season before last.

And people STILL have the balls to say that we don't draw anyone to our barn.

Oh, the irony.

I'd love to think we're unmeasurable in a way UNLIKE the subject of the article and thread. :D ;)

I was there for game 5 and they weren't as loud as the RBC during the playoffs, but they were loud.

I know my opinion of the NJD differs from most of you, but their fans were loud.

I'll give the Devils fans game 5 TC, they had a nice volume level though it still appeared to be nowhere near the intensity of the RBC during the cup one.

But watching games one and two the same way I viewed game 5, the Devils fans seemed to be absolutely DEAD during those games. They just didn't seem to care and as the game went on and due to the lack of intensity in the building I began to grow a similar disinterest. It had nothing to do with me pulling for the Ducks.

Everything changed for good with game 3 though and the intensity in both buildings was good for the rest of the series.

For game 6 which I went to in Anaheim, the intensity level was great and the towel waving was fun, but it still did not compare to the level the fans here reached during the playoff run, particularly game three of the finals. GOOD GOD that was an incredible crowd (not to mention incredible game as well). I just can't believe how loud the place got at the start of the game and periods. Unbelievable. Everytime I hear "Welcome to the Jungle" played on Jim Rome I think of that.

Not sure about during the playoffs, but I do remember they put the numbers in the N&O articles...anyway during a couple games last season I saw the meter at 105.
