Nicknames for other teams

OK - so I thought of this because of something Lil Ice said last night, but I thought it might be a good place to catalogue some of our nicknames for other teams. At one point she had names for each of the teams that she had made up (when she was three), my favorite being the TOOLS:D , which she still uses for the Devils! She updates them as they change their jerseys, but they are always intertaining and original! She HAD named the Oilers, the GOLDEN DROPS, but has shortened that to my new favorite, the DRIPS :lol: .

So, what are YOUR nicknames for teams in the NHL??

Toronto Make believes
Calgary Flickers
Vancouver Can nots
Edmonton Whiners (from back when Gretzky was there and always complaining)

Thats all that comes to mind right away.

Well, I call the Islanders the "Fishsticks" or the "Fish" because of their jerseys from about 10 years ago. (they actually had a jersey with a "fisherman" logo, that looked like the Gorton's Fisherman).

The Sabres are either the Slugs or the Toupees, among other names not to be said here.

My wife calls the Senators the Heads and the Blackhawks the Indians.

Also, the obvious Capitals = Crapitals and Thrashers = Trash.

Detroit = Murder City Dead Things.

I'm not sure you could really call it a nickname, but I tend to shorten all the team names: Preds, Sens, 'nucks, Wings, Caps.....

I refer to them as the Barfalo Sabres or the Buffaro Sabres. I don't know why. I think it's funny...then again, I find lots of stuff funny that no one else does. Hehe!

Canadiens = Habs
Sabres = Slugs
Rangers = Rags (or Smurfs)
Capitals = Crapitals or Craps
