Changes and additions to the site

For those of you who haven't ventured there, the front page and associated pages are completely revamped. If your bookmark leads you straight into the messageboard, check it out here (http://www.letsgocanes.com).

You'll see a lot of new things there, but the more subtle may not be noticed without a mention.


You can click on Eastern Conference Standings and it will give you the expanded standings complete with the top 8 playoff spots. Obviously that'll be more important as the season goes on.
You can click on the logo of the Next Up team and it will give you our season record against that team and the coming games against them.
Down at the bottom, if you click on Complete Schedule, it will bring up a schedule page. If you click on any team there, it will bring up our season record against them and the coming games against them.Those are the things that may not be obvious on there, so I thought I'd mention it. Some things coming down the pipe are a page for the salary cap and roster information, as well as a lot of tweaks to things that are already there.

Please don't hesitate to let me know of any things you might like to see that aren't there. I'm going to be working on this continually from here on out to ensure LGC.com continues to be the premiere Carolina Hurricanes fan site on the internet as well as one of the best fan sites in general.

Just changed the links on the left hand side to an expanding list. Also added a bunch of pages with a few more still to go.

Gotta find some more time, maybe this weekend.

That was weird. I LOVE it. It looks great. My bookmark goes straight to the main page, and I went to click on Message Board and I had a lot more options.

You deserve some rest. I am aware of what goes into designing web sites, my ex always "tried," he would get fed up too quickly and give up for a few months. The one he has now was last updated in June.

I just realized some of the centering on the columns to the right look a little wonky in IE. They look right in Firefox...

Anyway, I'll have to figure that out at some point.

I use firefox at work and at home but I must have different versions at each place. At work, I can't see the Message Board link unless I click on "Caniac Central". At home I can see the MB link, but the font is totally different than at work. Since the font is a little bigger on that version it makes it so I have to scroll a tiny bit to get the full image of the page.

I don't envy having to come up with stuff that looks different depending on which browser/version you use. :crazy:

Yeah, I'm not going to obsess over it now. I was thinking that it looked screwed up in ALL versions of IE, but apparently just the POS IE 7. So whatever. :)

Looks fine for me on IE 7 both at home and at work.

Just added a link on the home page for NHL Update that has a sub link for Tonight's Games.

I'll have a bunch of new stuff under there soon, like league wide standings, Win/Loss records, expanded stats kinda stuff.

Caniac do you have any plans of removing the final SE standings off of the home page? Is that a pain to do?? Believe it not, it is still painful to see them.. just being reminded of how close we were. :(
