I voted for club level since that seems like the best way to get more people involved. But I think a suite would be sweet.

Depends what I find for this year. last year was by far my favorite costume, and was Totally "ME"... but, it's not something I could wear where there were chilluns present. lol

I might have a pic around somewhere just for you mona. :p

LOL, I'd guess she was referring to this guy from last season and not the red hot chili peppers

(Proof that perhaps Ray Stevens should move/should have moved to Calgary)

Every time I see that pic, I don't know what makes me laugh more...that dude and his nice red socks or the reactions of the people around him, not that I blame them. ;)

I was thinking of the streaker above with the red socks....and I would never think otherwise...... :D :p ;)

Hey Mona... what are the advantages/disadvantages to a suite vs. club? Like, what is included with a suite that you don't get in club level (other than a place to congregate)? Also, the cost diferential is $100-110 for a suite and $60 for club, right?

With the suite, you get food (snacks) and beverages provided... yes..the prices you quoted are correct..... not sure what types of food is provided..whether it is strictly chips and dip or sandwiches...I can find out though.. ;)

The suite renter gets to pick from a vast and very yummy menu. When we did it we had popcorn, chicken wings, chicken tenders, meatballs, barbeque, desserts and beer and sodas for the $100 per person. We had tons of food left over (which the staff graciously gave us to go boxes for). I did not have to cook for several days!

I voted suite (and Mr SHC agrees) because the price diff just isn't all THAT much when you consider you are including food and drinks....but I would still like to know what their definition of "beer" is....cause we don't crink crap. ;)

But we'd also be prefectly happy with club level if that's the consensus.

EDIT: Just saw the beer listing in the other thread. I'm hoping the ones he doesn't know about include some micro-brews but if not I will survive. :spin:

All beer is good beer, but some beer is more equal than others. Love those micro-brews.

We had Mich. Light and plenty of it my one night in the high rent district. If it matters, I voted club level but will gladly go suite. I guess you could say I'm a real suite-e-pie. ;)

sorry, can't agree with all beer is good beer.

I had my fill of Old Mildew and the like, back in the day, when I was more about quantity than quality. Now you'd have to kill me and pour it down my throat to get me to ingest some of that crap. :p

I probably won't pay $100 if the beer included is a Bud/Coors product, because then we'll spend another $40 on decent (ie- Sierra Nevada) beer downstairs. But, if the suite has a decent beer (doesn't have to be real good stuff)... then it's a very good deal. :)

I voted suite, 'cause I don't want to have to worry about wheeling down any steps! ;)

I would have to agree with guyute... if the beer was decent (i.e. NOT BUD), I might change my vote to suite...

*just raising my hand as another beer snob*

Only worth it to me if they have decent beer (which mich light is not to me). Speaking of beer, do you guys like the Canes slapshot ale? I was psyched they had their own but haven't had it in years as it gave me a terrible headache.

I haven't voted because I'd be just as happy with club seating as suite. Hubby would love the suite thing though. Anyway count us in for two (woo-hoo grown up night without kids!)

It was quite the story.. not unsurprisingly, here is the next picture in sequence:

and a better one for the crowd reaction factor:

CALGARY, Alberta (Reuters/AP) - A streaker disrupted a National Hockey League game late Thursday between the Calgary Flames and Boston Bruins, but not quite as he planned.

The naked man jumped the boards at Calgary's Pengrowth Saddledome late in the third period, only to slip on the ice and hit his head, briefly knocking himself out cold.

Paramedics covered the 20-year-old man with a blanket and carted him away on a stretcher, to the cheers of fans.

"Streakers aren't necessarily all that uncommon, but people who knock themselves out on the ice in front of thousands of people at a hockey game, yeah, that's a little rare," Emergency Medical Services spokesman Mike Plato said.

"I felt bad for him, the poor guy. I thought he'd broken his neck," said Flames netminder Jamie McLennan, "(but) once he started acting like a jackass on the way off, you really didn't feel that bad for him."

The game ended in a 3-3 tie.

So true Ms. Rio. I love the faces of the men in the crowd especially. They are all hooting and thinking...I wish I had the nerve to do that!! :D

and I just wanted to say something to ALL of you and I am very serious. I wanted to say how much I enjoy our friendship and mutual love for the Canes in this forum. After being in other forums, it makes me appreciate you guys even more. And that is from the heart!! Thanks! :)

Actually Mona, if you look at the guy in the very top, second to the right, he's yawning as if what he was witnessing has already been done...either that or he's trying to yell "DON'T LOOK MARGARET!". :D

I too would also like to express my appreciation of the posters on this board. Some of the other places can be full of jerks.
