Yesterday I cleaned everything off my fridge. We had a new wall oven installed and it was so pretty next to our cluttered fridge that I just took it all down.

For us it's the hodge podge of mostly photos, but a lot of Canes stuff as well (why can't I throw away those old schedule magnets?).

I left two things (at first), just a SCC magnet and an LSU magnet. I cleaned the front and it looked great.

Then I realized that all that "stuff" kind of hid the fact that our fridge is pure white, while we painted our cabinets with more of a creamy white and w/o all the stuff it began to clash. I had to leave, but Mr NCC put a lot of it back, but much more neatly so it'll stay that way until we replace it with a black one that matches our new appliances and granite.

So - is your fridge naked? Photos on there? Photos with magnets or photos in nice acrylic magnet frames? Canes stuff? What?

When we moved into our new house we bought a stainless steel fridge, so magnets don't work anymore*. It was a big adjustment since previously our fridge was our calendar, photo gallery, art gallery, phone directory, etc. Our back door is metal-reinforced though, and we recently bought another fridge for the garage, so now all of our stuff has a new home!

* Just looked, there's a section on one side where there's about an inch of magnetic strip between the door and the cabinet the fridge sits in, and there reside two Eric Staal magnets from 05-06.

We bought a new fridge with the Stainless "look" but it has the ability to still magnetize; Since we married 14 years ago, every place we've traveled to, we'd collect a magnet. Fromt he Grand Canyon to the HHOF, there is a magnet that we've had on our fridge (it was white previously to match the kitchen) when we bought all new stuff and a fridge, we decided we wanted the kitchen to look "grown up" so we took a couple of special magnets from places that were really important to us, our honeymoon spot, the place we were engaged, junk like that, and we kept the magnetic schedule for the 2005-2006 season along with those magnets from the subway giveaway of Staal, Gerbs etc and the Stanley Cup Champs magnet (the small one) is on the top corner all by itself.

Why we kept those, I have no earthly idea. The rest are in a craft box in my home office, cause I couldn't throw them away. I didn't realize how many magnetic Canes related items we had. All kinds of stuff from years and years!

I have like every schedule magnet that's been given out the entire time the team's been in Raleigh, old ticket stubs, picture of friend's kid, picture of my nephew, and that's about it.

Oh, and a spare Gerber subway magnet too. The others are in my hockey shrine. :D

I have a menu from a local pizza place. I think that's about it.

My fridge is pretty much covered. Where you can actually see any of the surface, it's white.

I collect fridge magnets everytime we're somewhere new or interesting. And I'm very particular about the kind I get. They can't just be the boring, flat ones-- I like some dimensionality and texture to them. Like--I've got this cool seashell for Carolina Beach... and a little pair of wooden shoes from when we were in Amsterdam... Guessing-- I'd say there's probably at least 50+ magnets all over it.

But.. they're all over, as well as a little dry-erase board to make a shopping list on and a cool clay pen holder that SHC gave me years ago..... and then there's a clip that has a bunch of menus hanging from it... and a few 'Canes players....

And... then on one side is a big calendar we write stuff on.... as well as other magnets that have creeped around (including the past-dated 'Canes season schedules -- I can't get rid of them either!! )

Every now and then something will fall off when we open the door, and then we swear we're going to clean it off-- but we never do!!

Canes Schedule Magnet, NCSU Football Schedule Magnet, HT Pharmacy Magnet, Pad of Paper to make grocery list, piece of paper w/last date of extermination on it, NCSU folded Basketball Schedule (held up I'm sure by the magnetic football schedule, and bill from the N&O so that I can call when I don't get my Sunday paper and don't have to look all round for it.

Oh and a "PUG OFF" magnet with a pug (of course) on it :D

2 fridges. A mix between Cole artwork, travel magnets, and Canes stuff. Oh, and the beer fridge on the side has mini-penants of all 30 clubs.

Before we bought our house and got the stainless steel, unmagnetic, totally disappointing fridge, my fridge was always covered. We have tons of cool magnets and they were usually holding up pictures and postcards. Also, I had a magnetic cork board on the fridge with more pictures of friends' kids and some other stuff. Also with a hand drawn birthday card Mr SHC gave me when we were dating. We had a Curious George poster on there, too. I miss my fridge. :(

Fifty million pieces of paper for stick_dropper's school stuff, a ton of Cane's magnets, and lots of artwork by stick_dropper. The number for poison control, the pediatrician, and other vital numbers.

On the top of the fridge is stuff to keep away from the kidlet - my lighter for candles, and some Rx meds for the dogs (the human Rx stuff is locked up in the closet). There is probably more up there, but I don't want to know - I haven't gotten up on a step ladder for several months to check it out!!
