Y'know folks, I hate to rain upon the picnic here, but let's take a look at what Roy said again... (Warning: This isn't word-for-word...)
"I could give a sh*t about Carolina, but I got kids in the locker room that I love." (Something like that.)
Note that he said could, not couldn't...meaning he cares about Carolina, yet doesn't because his team just lost the championship. So, he didn't quite say what you guys thought he did...yet he somewhat did
We all know what he meant. That is a very common thing, especially in the south (Roy is from near Asheville BTW...went to my husband's high school), to replace could with couldn't there. Be it "could give a sh*t" or "couldn't give a sh*t" hardly makes a difference in the meaning. As Cam might say....my cats really love that red herring...keep it coming.
I do not think that what he said has one thing to do with how he feels about the job at UNC. He just lost the National Championships and all he was saying was that he wasn't going to talk or think about it right now. Not until after he finished doing the job he has right now. Nothing but commendable IMO.
But, as someone who has hated UNC for her whole life.....I still want to have those immortal words in my possession. And I truely hope he stays at Kansas.....but he probably won't.

They tried to let the National Championship Syracuse Basketball team fly back to no welcoming committee, and pretty much succeeded.
I know Cane fans that are local in the Raleigh area go to the airport as often as feasible.
I think it is a moment that these guys should have had the chance to experience-for some it would be their only chance at an airport welcome of that magnitude.

i think there was a video clip of it on one of the State message boards within ten minutes.
Do you happen to have a link to that clip? The one Caniac posted above doesn't have the beautiful words "I could give a sh*t about Carolina right now" included. And for posterity....I need that one in my collection. ;) Thanks!
It was there last night. Hmmm...

I wasn't crticizing or anything. It just didn't on my computer. Don't know why (I'm basically computer stupid) but it was only 3 seconds long when I downloaded it and all he got out was "haven't thought about it." But hyena got me one that worked.

I can't the one to work either. But it seems to be a different 2 seconds each time I try. Maybe it'll work eventually for me.

We all know what he meant. That is a very common thing, especially in the south (Roy is from near Asheville BTW...went to my husband's high school), to replace could with couldn't there. Be it "could give a sh*t" or "couldn't give a sh*t" hardly makes a difference in the meaning.
Exaclty SHC. We all know Roy Williams may end up in Carolina and even if he doesn't he's got great love for the place. In reality, I think the whole "I could give a sh*t" was really a nice way to say "shut the f*ck up and ask me about the game that just ended".

You do know it streams, so it may take a minute or so depending on your connection before the whole thing will play, right?
Or you can right click it and save to your hard drive and then you'll know when it's done.

I did right click and save it and I have cable internet but it still didn't work for me. The link hyena gave to the State MB didn't work for me either but she converted that one to mpg and that worked. I'm just cursed maybe.

Just on a side note, UConn won the women's basketball championship again by beating Tennessee 73-68. Just in case anyone likes women's basketball.
