took 30 stitches to close

BTW - the College Cup Final 4 was held in Cary at SAS Park (soon to be Wake Med Park I believe) and the W-F team wore a small circular patch over their left breast (heart) that said SKIP. Apparently the soccer coach always felt that Prosser and the former W-F soccer coach (who has also died) were his main two mentors. Said Prosser was very supportive of their program.

I think he should frame that blood stained jersey as is. Quite a memory.

They didn't sub for him initially hoping he could go back in so they were playing a man down, but eventually realized the bleeding wasn't going to stop and subbed someone.

Not to hi-jack the thread, but...I was in Winston-Salem yesterday with a bunch of Bucknell alums for the WF-Bucknell basketball game (Bison head coach Pat Flannery is one of Mr. LTD's fraternity brothers so we're doubly proud Bison fans). I didn't make the connection before the game, but Skip Prosser's son Mark is one of the Bucknell assistant coaches. Classy move by the Wake Forest organization, and an emotional moment, when he was announced and received a standing ovation from the Wake Forest fans.

Thanks for posting that ltd. I am sure it was hard for Mark to be there and his dad not be on the sidelines. Still hard to believe that Skip is gone. I know I will sometimes forget and be looking for him. He died when Nita was having her tests at Baptist Hospital. :(
