Why they always seem to make a run in the ACC tournament and then come up just short of winning there way into the big dance?

They have done that in the past but something is really wrong with the basketball program. Did you see some of the Carolina game? I swear at times, they all stood around and let Carolina drive right down the middle. When talking about the game with several people, Pack and Carolina fans, they said the same thing. I know there was dissention when Hickson arrived because McCauley and Costner whined about playing time. You would think they would have gotten over that by now. I don't care what kind of talent a team has.. if there is dissention, you cannot win. Carolina is proof that when Doughtery was coach.

If he can't pull a team together (as you wonder), you gotta wonder how effective he can be as a college coach.

E, I tried to find a length of his contract but can't right now. I think Sid will get one more year.. after that, if we don't make post-season, I think it will be over for him. Sidney is a likeable guy and I can't see that the players don't relate to him as a mentor. When Sendek was coach, the dissention was obvious..he couldn't even hold the attention of the players during a timeout. I don't see that with Sidney... *sigh*

I'll admit to being a total outsider and don't spend that much time tuning into the Pack (or any ACC b-ball, as much as I always think I'll have the time), but I always thought Herb's critics came from the alum/fans moreso than the players. He had some great leaders in Hodge, Atsur, Evtimov too I suppose.

E, he did have great leaders but we could never make it to post season and win. There was something missing. I like to watch reactions while players sit on the bench, during time outs and such. And many, many times during a time out, Sendek would be standing with a few players or coaches and the rest of the team had their own little huddle going on. Julius almost seemed like a coach at times. I have long heard stories about Herb and players that couldn't get along. I don't read that with Sidney at all.. I just can't figure it out. :(

I wish they could get the Pack machine rolling again. I have seen the glory days and I sure do miss them. :(

As a person who enjoys historical events in sports, I can appreciate being there for Krzyzewski's 800th win. I was looking forward to having a higlight since i thought were were going to get stomped in my final BB-game. Then we had to go and lead for a solid 39 minutes and blow it. Now i'm just pissed!

Well the Pack played hard..made too many mistakes. I tuned it and they were up by 13. I was waiting for the bottom to fall out. I am so glad that Duke could hang on and the Pack missed the last shot. Duke needed that boost since they have lost so many games. :sick: (yes I am bitter) :mad:

Well that goes without saying.. I don't rest a second that the Holes are in the NCAA.. once they are ousted (and I hope they are very early on), I can relax. :D
