There's only room for one tinted visor on this team.

Sorry, Hammie (but not really).

I guess I'm a little confused as to why we did this. If there is no roster limit after the deadline then we didn't need to make room for him. I guess they are really hoping to subject him to re-entry waivers at some point even if it means we're stuck with half his salary.

Maybe so he can play and look attractive to a team in the off season? Or maybe help the Rats in the playoffs?

I feel bad for Jeff ... seemingly a good guy. It just hasn't work out here.

I didn't even know he was still on our team...

Happy trails Hamilton. Hope you do well elsewhere (like in the Western Conference against the Wings :))

I was just looking at the rosters on ch.com and I didn't see Jeff on our roster nor the "System" roster... did anything happen with him?

Must be an oversight Mona, since now they can't do anything with him but send him down to Albany. Seems like a Canes typo.

Maybe he can play some more minutes in Albany and get his confidence and his game back before he gets moved.

I'm thinking it's to help the Rats since we've poached several of their players-- Conboy, Bayda, Aucoin and perhaps now Borer given Gleason's injury.

I think they were showcasing him for a trade up this point. When one didn't happen, they decided to send him down. Obviously he's not fitting into the Canes long term plans anymore.
