I see a bunch of them. I just thought she liked sticking her tongue out.

Yeah I see a whole bunch of smilies there too. I'm using Firefox 2.0.0.12

Just checked and they don't show in Internet Explorer... weird.

I just removed them, but there must've been 30 of them in there.

That's similar to what happened to me the other day when a bunch of codes and smilies got embedded in my post and I didn't realize until too late to edit it myself.

Sometimes I type in Word then copy/paste here, and ever since the board upgrade, I'm getting those sporadic codes embedded, but it only seems to happen when I copy in from Word though. Does that make sense?

And if it matters, I use IE 6 exclusively.

LTD, i've seen yours do it other times too (in the STH party thread, for one)... When you did a list it looked like

:p:pI eat chicken.

:p:pChicken is tasty.

I'm using FF 2.0.0.12 as well, caniac

Subliminal messaging no doubt. :p

Next time it happens I'll try to capture what the code looks like and post it before I fix it, in case that gives a clue. I was thinking it might be smart quotes in Word?

Are you using the more advanced editor to make your posts? The one where if you change the font it actually displays the different font as apposed to displaying the mark up tag with the [ font ]?

My guess is that you are using the advanced editor and when you paste it in from word it includes some hidden junk that results in the smiles. I would try pasting it into the simple editor and see what happens.

I actually wrote that post in Word, and then copied and pasted it here. I use Firefox at home.

I did see all the glitches when I previewed the post, but then I removed them all before I hit "submit."

I can't see them now.

I stopped using FF until they fix some sh*t. It's been driving me mad, and IE7 is actually pretty decent. I was having Major crashing issues with FF. Click a link, and boom, everything is gone. Or, closing the program, but it still tying up memory. Also nice. So, no thanks.
