He said that about Francis? Wow...I didn't see that. I saw he said it about Paul Kariya and some others but...Ronnie? Maybe I'll get jumped for this, but don't you agree that the Avs have the most divers in the league? Forsberg for one.

Yep, Chelly said Francis was one of the NHL's top three divers...as mentioned in a recent article by Jim Iovino:
Chris Chelios was the most vocal of the defensemen to speak out on the issue (of diving). He even went as far as to call out three veteran players who he believes are guilty beyond reasonable doubt. Chelios, who we should remind you is older than dirt and might not be able to remember his own name, said Kariya, Ron Francis and Peter Forsberg were his top three.
He went on to say that disco was making a comeback and the Brooklyn Dodgers would win the World Series.
Chelios has a case against Kariya. There are occasions when it looks as if an invisible rope was strung at center ice and caught the mightiest Duck in the throat.
But Francis and Forsberg? Come on, Chelly. Go fill out an application for Sunshine Acres instead of spouting off blasphemy. Francis and Forsberg are two of the hardest-working men in the history of the game. There is no justification for publicly calling out those two.
You obviously agree with Chelly about Forsberg. But, it's nice to see that you disagree about Ronnie...that's something you and me actually agree on, Grindline. ;)

On a side note, Foppa got 5 assists in today's 8-1 win over the Blackhawks.
The announcers do talk a lot about Forsberg, but not as much as they obess over the Wings.

I don't think it is just Wings fans who think that ABC/ESPN has a Avs bias...I have a good cartoon that would illustrate my point put I can't seem to figure out how to post pics (stupid me, I'm new :D ).
I guess it is just an opposing view. Canes fans think they talk about the Wings a lot, Wings fans think they talk about Floppa a lot.
But I have to admit, Barry Melrose and his crew think the Avs are hockey gods (Thorne/Clement actually called Chris Drury that last year...he's good, but no God). I'll be watching games where the Avs aren't playing (or even playing that night) and they are talking about how great Peter played and the Avs played and not paying attention to the game.
Haha, sports commentators and writers are just the best aren't they? :D
And as for Cheli's statements about Ron Francis? Totally uncalled for. Francis is one of the classiest guys in the league and did not diserve that. Cheli should learn to keep his mouth shut sometimes.

I don't think it is just Wings fans who think that ABC/ESPN has a Avs bias...I have a good cartoon that would illustrate my point put I can't seem to figure out how to post pics (stupid me, I'm new :D ).
I guess it is just an opposing view. Canes fans think they talk about the Wings a lot, Wings fans think they talk about Floppa a lot.
But I have to admit, Barry Melrose and his crew think the Avs are hockey gods (Thorne/Clement actually called Chris Drury that last year...he's good, but no God). I'll be watching games where the Avs aren't playing (or even playing that night) and they are talking about how great Peter played and the Avs played and not paying attention to the game.
Haha, sports commentators and writers are just the best aren't they? :D
And as for Cheli's statements about Ron Francis? Totally uncalled for. Francis is one of the classiest guys in the league and did not diserve that. Cheli should learn to keep his mouth shut sometimes.

To insert a picture from a website:
1. Find the picture you want
2. Right click on the picture and go to properties
3. Triple click on the address part
4. Hold down the CTRL key and press C
5. Start your post here and paste the address whereever you want the picture to be.
6. Highlight the address and press the Img button up above.
