Neat site. Anybody else with cool Halloween costume places let me know. My oldest wants to be "Hermione Granger" which should be easy cause her hair looks a lot like hers. The Potter costume could be adapted but at $50 in that web site seems a little steep.

The two year old informed me she wants to be a ghost! Not too many 2 year old ghost costumes out there! I guess we'll do the old stand-by ... a sheet.

p.s., you may want to call and ask Party City as well so you don't have to pay for shipping. They don't have their stuff listed online but I did see this:

At Party City, we are confident that our prices are the lowest. If you see our competitor's carry an identical item at a lower price then ours, we'll beat the competitors' price by...

Just bring us proof (a current advertisement) and we'll match the price plus take an additional 15% off.
Guarantee does not apply
to % off sales.

Great, Thanks Shell! I can deal with $25 a lot better! We have a "wand" and don't need the wig, so the robes will be great.

Yep...I plan to come fully attired as my Stormbringer character. By "fully attired", I mean not just the mask and jersey, but also "hockey shorts", (They're really red mesh basketball shorts.) black tights, white socks, and a black right eye for when I take off the mask. Very much the same costume I wore on my Halloween/birthday outing last year. Except, if I can find hockey socks like the ones the Canes wear, I'll wear those instead of plain white socks... :spin:

I figured a sports shop or a pro shop in a place like the RecZone would carry them...I'll definitely take a peek in a Play It Again when I can. Thanks Eileen. :)

I adore Halloween! It's the only holiday where Rio's regular clothes blend in with the rest of the crowd!  It's been ages since I've done anything for Halloween ( Franklin Street in Chapel Hill ).

Who is Carolina playing against for Halloween? We should dress Gene up as Ruben Studdard this year ;)

Oh, and Mona, your Jeff costume was a brilliant idea.

Just out of curiousity, what was everyone's best halloween costume? Mine definitely had to be when I dressed up as Hannibal Lecter. I had an actual straitjacket and everything. I even rented an appliance dolly and was strapped to it for a large portion of the evening. My best friend didn't appreciate it much because he had to wheel me around but as we got drunker it made for a much more entertaining ride around the party.

Great costume JD...did you have the mask too?? Creepy!! I would have to say my best one was being O....it takes a lot of nerve to go to the arena with a beard!! ;)

I'm keeping my last few constumes a secret, incase I use them again with different people. ;) Mine are usually along the perverted/twisted/flat-out-nasty varieties though. a couple years ago instead of "hey man" when people walked in I got a short stare and then "DUDE. You. Are. SICK!".

wheeeeeeeeee. :D

I'd have to say a tie between my Stormbringer outfit and my Miss Fantastic (Back when I was a HUGE Fantastic Four nut...my favorite character is Mr. Fantastic.) costume. Both are easily my best designed costumes ever, and the ones in which I've had a couple of my best birthdays. :spin:

I usually just dress weird. Underwear on the outside, I shaved the left side of my face and had a beard on the other side, wear a cape, two different shoes, wearing a bra or womans bathing suit top, wear one of those hats with flaps or use gell to make horns with my hair, tack on an tail, wear a Maple Leafs sweater...

You know, things that make you dumb.

I have a gold and green spandex catsuit I had tailor-made for me to be Rogue one year. I have the jacket, gloves, boots, military belt. The whole she-bang. I bleached a white stripe into my hair and was good to go. Went to Franklin Street that year. Lots of fun. My hair is so short right now, I'd have to the waaaaaay old Rogue if I went as her for this Halloween. Ah well... there's still time to think of something.

While I'm not a huge X-Men fan, that sounds awesome Rio...I dig a good and cool superhero/villain costume, regardless of who the character is.

Though Halloween's still a month away, I'm already looking into getting a pair of Canes hockey socks for my costume to wear on not only the said day, but also at the Canes' Halloween Celebration game. (Oct. 28th against San Jose) And I got a question...which size would I be better off getting, boys' or mens'?

Edit: Nevermind...looked at some other online stores, and found out the best size is Senior (Men's).

Our best Hallowe'en was probably the year I dressed my hubby as the Joker (complete with purple plaid pants and purple jacket) and me as a cat from "Cats."

Come to think of it, I think the first time I met Kat was at a Hallowe'en party - and she had the best costume there!

why yes. I do believe a French nurse feeds her patients croissants and fine wine while upbraiding them in precise language about their tasteless looking hospital gown and utterly contemptible politics. lol

God bless the French. I do love Christian Dior. http://jm.g.free.fr/smileys/doctor.gif :D
