The above link is to the Ticketmaster site for the game. Once you click the "Use the map" button, you can see what is available. We need to see all the sections in at least light blue so there are basically only singles available.

I'm in!

I was out of town for the last 24 hours, so I was being amused by the tweets (last night and this morning, lmao) and caught just part of the 2nd and the 3rd/OT on TV. Soooooo happy for the home fans.

Last night's game was not in the (what I presume to be) most popular 12 game plan, which is the mostly weekend games (red). I suppose people opted not to buy this one as an add on and it wasn't one of the exchange games which typically fill up this time of year.

ANYWAY! My plan is in this last BUF game and I just ordered (after the great reminder) 4 seats for this one. Only place I could get 4 together in the $30 price range (didn't check upper level) was in the Club. No pairs available for the sideline, but some in LL N and LL S.

I have no idea how many of those 6 seats my family will use (haven't even checked the soccer sched!) but once that is all decided, I'll offer up whatever is left at very attractive prices (with proof of Caniac-ship ).

Great thread.

I only have one more left that I can buy. I need to talk to my buddy to see if he has purchased any. If not, we may be able to help some Caniacs out.

I wonder if the ticket sales for 4/3 have been good today?

If management wants to fill up Buffalo games in future years, how about making them all eligible ticket exchange games.

I would have gladly exchanged for last night (except for the small problem that I was out of town)

I am attempting to get extras for this game using the season ticket holder special but have special needs (need aisle, upper row, lower level, prefer LLN but would take LLS or sideline) but I can never seem to get what my peeps need or see where you can specify anything. Does anyone know away around this or have two that meet my needs they would be willing to do a trade for? Would it help to call a ticket rep (not that I know who mine is anymore)? Probably buying more than two extras for these are the only special needs ones I really need.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

ETA Sent an email via their "contact us" link. Hopefully they can hook me up. Sorry I had to miss the game last night (work has been a bear this week). Trying to make up for it on the 3rd.

Brindyfan, I hope that in the future that they will enable us to see and select the seats like you can on the Ticketmaster site. Maybe we all need to contact our ticket reps and see if they can get that in place for next year. I smell another crusade.

If you have special needs, you should contact your ticket rep and explain that you'd like to take advantage of the STH appreciation special but you need to be a little selective in your seats. I would imagine that he/she could accommodate your desire to spend money.

By the way, I will have a white Canes jersey with the "No Sabres Cup" and artwork airbrushed for 4/3

I received an email back from the Hurricanes early this morning and it looks like they will be able to assist me on Monday. So it would seem the "contact us" link actually directs you a Hurricanes ticket rep. Just an FYI for anyone else in a similar situation.

SD-sounds like a good idea for everyone to talk to reps about adding this feature. I will mention it on Monday when I talk to him. Thanks

Even if they're already coming, then by buying tickets, we

1) keep those tickets out of any slow-moving Barfalo fans
2) increase the number of Canes fans in the building

This sounds like the attitude of some over at ch.com.

By buying up tickets, we can assure that there are more Canes fans in the building than there would have been otherwise. It may also prevent some local Sluggos from buying tickets at the last minute. Next season, I'll buy my extras as soon as they go on sale.

Let their buses come. We WILL drown them out next time. "No Cup Buffalo" instead of "Let's Go Buffalo"

I'm curious about the buses. Didn't you post that there were 6 buses coming down for the midweek game last week? I don't recall hearing anything about that from the folks at the RBC Center.

Just curious. I would hate to think you're just stirring the pot.

Honestly, my biggest problem for this last Sabres game wasn't the conduct of the fans, but the empty seats. This game should have had the atmosphere of a playoff game and it was a lot more sedate than that. Because of previous games, a lot of people avoid the Sabres games and I understand why, BUT we have to get over that if we want to own our house. There were a few incidents, but if you notice, the RBC was trying to tone it down by doing less "anti-Buffalo" stuff with the video board and in game activities.

We need to fill the place up with as many Canes fans as possible. Not just for this game, but for all. This particular game is a great opportunity because of it being a weekend game and a STH appreciation game. Buffalo and Pittsburgh seem to be the two teams that turn out the most enthusiastic opposing fans at the RBC. We need to be extra enthusiastic ourselves for those games.

Sooooo.... you're looking to get into a fight? Cause wearing that jersey is going to be a magnet for drunk Sabres fans to want to fight you.

Why stir them up any more than they already are? At that point, you're part of the problem!

Yeah, I've been rethinking that one myself and decided that it wouldn't be prudent at this juncture. I can handle myself, but I don't want to do or wear anything that may cause somebody else trouble.

It is funny though.

Agree with you completely. However, when I see we have tix for a Buffalo game, my gut reaction is, man... I don't want to take the kids to that.

We do of course make sure tickets go to our fans, last thing I want is more Slugs fans in there. I've just seen too much crap in our building while playing them to bring my little ones into it. I'm glad to hear it sounds like it was better this time, hopefully that trend continues.

The playoff games in 06 were the worst. I don't know who had the idea to give away the drinking glasses at the game. It may have been as bad an idea as the WKRP Turkey Drop. The RBC in-game stuff has toned down on the video board and other things.

A friend of mine had beer and hot nacho cheese thrown at them at the end of the game by some Buffalo fans right behind them, so there is still some thuggery. I had a whole row of Buffalo fans behind me for this last game and didn't have any problems. I've looked around at a couple of their message boards and they seem to think we are pansies and don't understand that this is just hockey. Some seem proud of the "pillaging and baby killing" reputation. Between Buffalo fans, and now Pittsburgh fans, I have seen plenty of them being vulgar and taunting our fans. Those two teams probably have the biggest local fan base and travel well.

We just need to be there in numbers and be vocal in pulling for our Hurricanes.

They gave away pint glasses during the 2002 Finals and didn't have any problems. (Of course those were Wings fans.)

A better idea would be to give every Canes fan a Carolina Mudcat Bat upon entry and when these clowns get outta hand can take care of it ourselves.

I think you always have to ask the question "What's the worst that could happen here?"
