Me too. I'll either move to the fanzone or buy individuals. I give a lot of tickets away as it is. The only benefit I have as a STH is playoff priority, and that hasn't been a great benefit. I don't care if I sit in my regular seats anyway. I have sat in them for a grand total of 2 periods this year. I like to move around because you see different things from different places.

Thanks, e2. We are FSTH but on the third level so I wasn't sure. We like to park in the East lot and we're okay with general parking there as long as we get there before 6:00. Get there at 6:01 and they route you into Carter Finley which really ticks me off when we walk up to the building and see scads of empty spaces in the East lot exactly where we like to park. We don't even mind the walk from CF but it takes forever to get out after the game.

You would think they would fill up all the lots around the building before they start parking in CF, no matter the time.

I'm terrible at being able to recall or find my last year's invoice prices.

I'm curious to know if it went up, but it's kind of just morbid curiosity - we aren't renewing.

Glancing at CAM, it looks like it went up, but not 100% certain.

Here's the PDF for the new plans.

Some VERY nice perks have been added I think.

The first side effect of that expanded fanzone is going to be scalpers sweeping in. The amount of $2 tickets on stubhub for a Tuesday game against Florida should double at least.

I'm pretty pleased with what they're offering in the brochure. Food vouchers, bigger percentage off at The Eye and a STH entrance all sound pretty cool to me. Plus my ticket price didn't go up, so there's that.

You should be able to see a link for "completed invoice" in CAM. That is your 11-12 invoice.

I did eventually notice that, but given how wonky that system seems to be, I wasn't sure, lol.

If that's correct, looks like the plan went up about $100 for 12 game LL South?

The food vouchers are a very big deal. That effectively reduces my ticket increase to 3.3%. The discount at the Eye is less so, but I raised both issues in my survey response. The STH entrance is so completely from out of left field, but I like it.

The STH entrance and lanyard seem like add-ons for the sake of saying "well, we added new stuff, you can't say we're not listening". I'm not complaining about their inclusion for next season, but I don't see either as a huge upgrade or reason to buy a season ticket.

The food and beverage stuff should get a few new people to sign up for season tix I suppose.

It sounds great - I'll be curious how it works in practice.

I've seen some really backed up lines for the last 2 Sat night games.

Wow. We took advantage of the top 8 rows of LLN deal this season...and it looks like that price ($39) has not changed? I thought FOR SURE it would go up. When I look in CAM my invoice total (including regular parking) is the exact same as last season.

And I LOVE the new perks!!

I'm amazed at how good I feel about this. They did something right.

I think LLSouth went up $7 per seat per game, if you had locked in prices (mine were $53)....But if I factor in the F&B credit, it works out to $54 per game instead of $53.

I'm pretty satisfied with the changes.

The F&B credit effectively reduces my increase to $0.75 per ticket. I can live with that.

I like the food vouchers. We gave up eating at the arena this year except for dollar hot dog nights. The special entrances are pretty nice, too.

Just realized--looks like we're losing the STH gift program?

That's cool by me...I'd rather have the F&B credits.

That was definitely included in the survey, so perhaps at this point, people rated it lower.

I have a friend that greatly regrets getting FST in this section as he usually ends up being one of the "rare" Canes fans in that section. He's been lucky sometimes by moving around to other areas but...for a Canes fan, I've heard it's not all that great

Exactly. They can offset their losses for the poorly attended midweek games against a bad road draw because they'll get 40-50 for a 9.99 ticket for a Buffalo/Pittsburgh/etc game, and I can assure you it won't be a Canes fan that buys it.

wife and I are 26 game holders in LLS and it appears 2012-13 is going to cost us with parking, which we had this year also, $143.00 more or $5.50 a game. I guess if you reduce that total by the 10% F&B credit it may be a little less next year than this year, for us anyway. We never eat or drink inside and I'm sure how much having the credit would change that. We're going to re-up.

I presume (would hope) that the card is transferable. If so, you could probably discount it off the face value and sell it. You get some money back and they get discounted food.

Gift program remains SHC- it's the last bullet under the 0% interest blurb on the PDF before it starts to outline the prices.

I'm very pleased with the perks- lots of thinking outside of the usual. In CHI, they have a separate STHer entrance & I remember few years ago (post lockout season) when FLA did it, and I'm not sure if they still do. Anyway, it's a cool perk, wondering how that goes- although it should be fairly easy to designate, since the full ST's look different than the mini plans. I like the F&B credit and the graduated discounts for the Eye. Looks like our discount just doubled, lol.

On the flip --- We got the el kabong on ticket prices- sideline premiere has gone up for us by 5 bucks from the lock in price. I personally was expecting it, Mr Socal every watchful of the $ spend, was "sure" we wouldn't see an increase. Ha!

The Canes should be commended for really trying to work the pricing plans and I'm pleased that this appears to be well thought out. Renewal wasn't really ever out of the question (although that little stretch prior to Coach Kirk's arrival had me thinking) so time to go pay the Canes that $6K (gulp) & renew.

I think whomever came up with the sliding scale on the Eye discounts and the % of money for F&B should get a bonus. It introduces perks that reflect how long they've been STHs (Eye discount) and how much they spend on purchasing their plans (F&B).

Other than seat selection priority (and in some...most? section it didn't amount to much), there was no other "long timer" perk. And the total $$$s spent have never been rewarded (other than the obvious...how good your seat was).

Really good ideas.

(of course, they are probably all ideas used before by some other team )

Agreed.

Sure wish they'd been doing that when we say in 119 all those years, though.

I agree heartily. There was some creativity in thinking of the long timer thing & yeah agreed on the reward factor.

I don't know if everyone looked at the link to the PDF in the Canes email here it is- Did everyone see the Cookout with Canes players as an incentive to renew? And I LOVE that instead of the usual letter from Mr. Rutherford, we get a letter from Coach KIRK! his sign off is lovely. The whole personal feel to his note was well done. Oh, I'm such a Coach cheerleader- I think I need to get a tee shirt made with some declaration of fandom.

Of course, the Canes are no fools, they know folks are really keyed in on Coach & like him alot. Good ploy eh? :-
