Game Thread vs Florida Panthers 3-21-2012

Game Day people. Look alive.

So another game against FLA, who played last night and won against Philly.

Given the conflicting reports, we could (maybe?) see Joni back in the lineup, or it could be Spacek and Joni isn't ready.

Big weekend of wins on the road, gotta keep the momentum going.

We will get Skinner back after his two game suspension.

This game is not on FS Carolinas will have to tune in via Center Ice for TV, or we'll see you at the rink.

Pulled our tix out last night to have them ready "Game 36" they say. Season is coming to an end so fast.

This is the final exchange game (I believe) and it's probably a sellout (maybe already is)?

Did anyone hear Chuck this morning? Jeffbear (from TSB --> ForumIce) mentioned something about Chad having vertigo issues?

Oh crap - I didn't realize this was a non-TV game. I've got tickets for this, but was planning to give to a neighbor (I'm on call). May have to rethink. Thanks for the notice SoCaL!

I won't be there tonight. I have something else I have to do and my kids scooped up the tickets. I checked the seating map on Ticketmaster and there were only a handfull of seats left yesterday. I'm sure it will be a sellout, with a lot of empty seats like the last trade in game.

Yeah, that seems to be the case. You see people all the way to the tops of the sections that don't always fill, then it's like a checkerboard with the empties scattering. I do always take note when i watch sporting event and am impressed when every.single.seat is filled (EPL soccer is ALWAYS like this).

Yeah- last game had a weird pattern of empty seats and then full seats, as is the norm with the exchange games. Hope you make it to the game E, let me know if you do!

Edit to the game day post- This game is NOT on TV at all--- no CI, nothing, NBC exclusive/Blackout and we're shut out, thus no TV. George Richards the Panthers beat writer, just tweeted about it.

For the life of me, I don't get the exclusive thing at all.

So this means our game will likely be the most exciting and it won't be documented anywhere. (except via the video board)

are you sure? it showed up on DirecTV guide on Center Ice tier this morning when I left the house...just checked...still does on the online guide...channel 771

NickG , Yeah- I just went to the living room to look at my DirecTV guide--- it's there too. Since FLA and FS CAR isn't doing it, let's just presume it's the jumbotron feed. Thankfully this is a home game and I'll be where I should be and not worrying about the TV. Unfortunately for those who can't be there, this is what we deal with.

Forgot to mention that this is also Public Safety Night, which is always a good evening at the rink.

Chuck mentioned this am that Joni might play tonight. Looks like it has been confirmed unless something happens later today. It will be interesting to see the pairings.

Looks like I'm doing a double header! Woo Hoo! I'm paddling the Haw at 3pm and then high tailing it over to the RBC oops PNC Center afterwards to catch a bit of tailgating and the game. I've got my stoke on for sure!

KF- I'm like you, thrilled to see Joni coming back. It's been a LONG time. Twitter is chirping that he'll play with JMcBain, remember when JMc was the only person who seemed able to play with him? LOLOL.

I say this, so then I'll have to bite my tongue when he does some crazzzzy sh** & I'm yelling in my seat, what are you doing Joni?

Jets shot themselves in the foot last night in PIT and of course against us. I'm with KF, whatever we can do to make their dream die, I'm all for.

I had a moment of pause last night, as well, when I pulled that ticket out to see the F&B guide unerneath instead of another row of tickets. All those games I dreaded the first few months.....now I want more.
