I have to admit that I burned out on hockey fan boards long before letsgocanes existed. puck_it even invited me to the board awhile ago, but I just couldn't get myself to even look. Too many flames and trolls out there is cyberspace. But, now that I see how nice y'all are, I've decided to try it again!

I grew up in Colorado going to Rockies games before their evil owner moved them to New Jersey. Back when Don Cherry was the coach, yikes! To this day I can't stand the Devils, because, when you're a little kid and your home team moves, you just don't forgive. Some time after that we got cable and I became a Bruins fan because, well, those were the games I could watch. Plus, Wes was on the team, and you've just gotta love a fellow red head. Watching games gave me an excuse to procrastinate on my HS homework. Eventually I moved to Boston for school, but Bruins tickets weren't exactly in my budget at the time. So, we went to lots of college games, and my hubby and I had our first "real" date at a game.

We moved here in 1993, and my allegience had moved to the Penguins (their fan boards burned me out, btw.)

Soon, hubby was all psyched up that Carolina was going to get an expansion NHL team, but I told him he was nuts. Everyone knows what happened after that. Since we were both in grad school when the team made the move to the ESA, and since again we had no cash, hubby got a job as an usher so he could see all the games. That didn't exactly pan out since he kept guarding club level access where he couldn't see, so by the end of that season we bit the bullet and had our miniplan (okay, he got me a 7-game plan for my Feb birthday. Hmmm.) Now we have season tickets that we split with a friend, which is a great deal, and if you don't already have a plan you should just find some buddies and go for it!

Outside of my constant Caniac Fever I have twin 3 year olds who keep me busy, and I'm a chemistry teacher.

So puck_it (aka Sherlock) already figured out my real name. So, the moral of the story is, never give any hints to the moderator. Therefore, any of my posts to the ladies thread will have to be rated-G now. Or at least PG-13.
